WERRINGTON PARK SPEED HILLCLIMB 2012

Werrington Park, near Launceston is the Club’s biggest event of the season. Traditionally held on the Saturday and Sunday of the May Day Bank Holiday weekend, this event will see 100 competitors on each day driving 1250 yards up the hill as fast as they can. To give an idea of just how fast, the hill record (set last year by Terry Groves) is 33.29seconds which is an average speed of 77 mph. This is from a standing start and with a ninety degree, 10 mph, bend in the middle!

The dates for your diaries are the 5th & 6th May 2010, racing starts around 10am and usually finishes between 16:30 and 17:00 with an awards presentation shortly afterwards at which all are welcome.

More information will be published here over the coming months so bookmark this page now!
