Plymouth Motor Club has been involved in club, regional and national level Motorsport events for many years. We organise (occasionally working with other local Motor Clubs) stage rallies, Navigational Rallies, 12 Car Night Rallies, Treasure Hunts, Tarmac Autotests, Gymkhanas and Hillclimbs and Sprints, In fact a wide variety of grass roots local motoring events. We cater for the enthusiast who has either a casual interest in local events, or the hardcore enthusiast who spends every evening and every weekend preparing their cars for a variety of events throughout the year. We have an active register of marshals for those who wish to assist in the running of events, and those wishing to become more involved in the organisation will always be welcomed to join us at any of our events.

We have a team of dedicated members who have many years of experience in the organising of a variety of local, national and international level events across the various disciplines that we undertake.
If you are new to Motorsport, rallying, racing or club level events, then we or a member of our club will be able to guide you and to advise you on how to prepare a car and enter events across the spectrum of events that we undertake. You will always find a useful word of advise at one of our club events or meetings, or simply by picking up the telephone you will be able to contact a number of members of the club who are always willing to help in some way.
As with any form of club, the transition from novice to expert is often made easier by the people you know rather than what you know. If you require spare parts, advice, on event assistance, general encouragement or just a shoulder to cry on, Plymouth Motor Club and its members are here to help at any level.
Plymouth Motor Club LTD is a recognised member of the Motor Sports Association (MSA), the governing body for organised Motorsports within the united Kingdom. The MSA is recognised as the governing body of motor sport in Great Britain by the world governing body, the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).
We are also a member of the Association of South Western Motor Clubs (ASWMC). The ASWMC first came into being on the 9th of March 1957 to assist local motor clubs with group representation at the then RAC's (now MSA’S) Competition Department to safeguard our interests and activities. The ASWMC were not the first Association as similar ones had been formed in the North in 1948 and the Midlands in the early 1950's. In 1957 the ASWMC had just 21 member clubs, but currently has 79 member clubs making the ASWMC one of the largest Regional Associations in the UK.
As members of such associations, we are able to organise events conforming to the rules and regulations of the ASWMC/MSA/FIA at all levels. These rules are in place to ensure that each and every event that we organise is first and foremost safe and well organised.
